Post haste

Having commented on the appalling state of the market due to its pigeon population, I expected the usual reaction - nothing.

Imagine my surprise at hearing reports that the post featured in my previous comment has been cleaned and the floor around it disinfected.

I'm looking forward to the installation of bird spikes in the very near future.

The pigeons have also disappeared, indicating that GSM do read this blog and do respond to the problems raised.
John, Eric and Barny, let's have a better relationship. We weren't just a few angry spoilt oddballs. We were many from all over the world and dozens of us felt as if we were being treated like dirt, not as the paying customers(around £5000 a year) that we actually were.
Your job is never going to be easy with so many diverse people wanting a piece of you. All that we wanted in return was for the rules to be applied fairly, without fear or favour and a sense that we were not helpless in the face of injustice.
Times are hard now, so manage well and maybe more of us are going to survive this downturn. Otherwise its going to be like fighting on the bridge of the Titanic.
Many thanks to the Whistler for giving us a voice that was heard.

Well said (I say whilst wiping a tear from my eye).

This all seems a little strange to me, why would GSM sit up and take notice of comments regarding pigeon crap but not about all the other issues discussed. Pigeons are a nuisance and do spread diseases but there are no laws to say that they must not be allowed to crap in a public area or roost in a public area (look at Trafalgar Square for example). The type of thing that would be deemed as a health hazard would be to allow food to be prepared with pigeons around. I would be very surprised if GSM have gone to the expense of hiring a Pigeon exterminator if they have no obligation to do so. What they should worry about is the Rat problem around the store area and I am not talking about the staff.

Spikes can be purchased from http://www.BirdBGone.com AND they have a network of authorized installers. Worked great for me!

Is there a
" http://www.BarmyBgone.con" that could supply, larger man sized spikes, to get rid of the real problem ? I don't think we will need the authorized installers, as there are enough people that were crapped on by Barmy that would love to oblige.
Will the landlords sort out and regularly disinfect the problem areas. a bit better e.g.. the office , the toilets & the slimy trail of verbal diarrhoea that Barmy leaves in his wake ?
Squawk.
